WHAT ARE ESCAPE ROOMS
Live Escape Rooms are an interactive experience where a team of 2 to 6 people are locked in a themed room and have to escape within 60 minutes before the time runs out.
The game scenario follows a particular theme from Film, computer game, literature – often extended with local flavor – and determines the experience of the room as well as the riddles. Players must find and combine all the clues to solve the puzzles in the room, open locks, or get proper codes. The game requires lateral thinking, creativity, teamwork and communication.
The structure of the Escape Games was first defined in 2004 as a flash browser game by Toshimitsu Takagi in Japan. The step to a real world implementation took place in 2006. Five years later, players in Europe could puzzle in the ruin cellars of Budapest. The conquest of Exit Games also progressed rapidly in Germany, where the first rooms were opened in Berlin and Munich in 2013.
